Dual Enrollment Program Guide

UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA

Is a Top Public University by the Numbers.Among America’s Best Universities.Florida is a highly rated public university located in Gainesville, Florida. It is a large institution with an enrollment of 31,337 undergraduate students. Admissions is fairly competitive as the Florida acceptance rate is 30%.

Popular majors include Psychology, Biology, and Business.

Graduating 91% of students

Enrollment in Mati Talent Institute dual enrollment program with UF requires students to meet the following conditions:

  • Full-time enrollment in grades 10-12, or grades 9-12 enrolled in The Academy.
  • Completed or enrolled in AP or Honors-level English (if offered) in the enrollment preceding or concurrent with the dual enrollment
  • Completed or enrolled in AP or Honors-level (if offered) of the same subject as the college level course(s) in the enrollment preceding dual enrollment course(s).
  • Earn a grade of 89.5% or higher in the courses of the same subject as the dual enrollment courses
  • Cumulative G.P.A. of 3.6 or higher
  • Take one of the three following standardized tests:

    SAT – with a 1100 composite score.
    ACT – with a 22 composite score.
    PSAT – 1130 (PSAT 10/NMSQT only).

  • Full-time enrollment in grades 10-12, or grades 9-12 enrolled in The Academy.
  • Completed or enrolled in AP or Honors-level (if offered) of the same subject as the college level course(s) in the enrollment preceding dual enrollment course(s).
  • Cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher
  • Meet minimum score on a common placement test adopted by the Florida Board of Governor Postsecondary College-Level Preparatory Testing standard scores which indicate that the student is ready for college-level work. The common placement test cutoff scores can be found on the Florida Department of Education Demonstration of College Readiness. Note: Only Alternative Method accepted by FIU is PSAT/NMSQT (PSAT 10)

UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA

Is a Preeminent Research University and AAU member with campuses across the Tampa Bay region, the University of South Florida is dedicated to empowering students to maximize their potential for lifelong success.

It is a large institution with an enrollment of 29,197 undergraduate students. Admissions is fairly competitive as the South Florida acceptance rate is 49%.

Popular majors include Health Service Preparatory Studies, Psychology, and Biomedical Sciences and Molecular Medicine.

Enrollment in Mati Talent Institute dual enrollment program with USF requires students to meet the following conditions:

  • Full-time enrollment in grades 10-12, or grades 9-12 enrolled in The Academy.
  • Completed Honors or CP Geometry with a grade of 86.5% or higher
  • Completed or enrolled in AP or Honors-level English (if offered) in the enrollment preceding or concurrent with the dual enrollment
  • Completed or enrolled in AP or Honors-level (if offered) of the same subject as the college level course(s) in the enrollment preceding dual enrollment course(s).
  • Earn a grade of 89.5% or higher in the courses of the same subject as the dual enrollment courses
  • Cumulative G.P.A. of 3.5 or higher
